The aim of the study is to research effect informatioanal counselling programme on the levelof high school 11th grade students’ concerning irrational beliefs levels of university educationand matriculation. This research is an experimental work which has control group pre-test, posttestmodel. In experimental group the 10 session informatioanal counselling programme that wasemployed, developed by the researcher.; in the same time in the control group, a placeboexperiment was implemented at the same length. Concerning irrational beliefs levels ofuniversity education and matriculation of students at test and control group phase were assessedwith irrational beliefs of concerning university education and matriculation scale. Mixedrepeated measures of analysis of variance (ANOVA) technique was used in order to make themain effect of difference between test and control groups’ pretesst posttest average scoressignificant after experimental procedure. There has been a significant main effect differencebetween average scores at 0.05. Findings made clear that informational counselling programmewas influential in order to decrease the students’ wrong beliefs about matriculation and universityeducation.
